This isn't just a charitable campaign. It's personal.
In 2012, we lost my kid brother Chase to DIPG, a rare and aggressive form of childhood brain cancer. He was only a child, but he fought with more courage than most adults could ever imagine. Watching him battle this disease changed me forever.
Chase is also the reason this company exists. He's the one who called me a "furry hippie" because of my long hair and beard. That playful nickname became the foundation of this brand. Every product I make carries his spirit.
When I started Furry Hippie Beard Company, I knew I wanted to do more than just sell beard care. I wanted to honor Chase's memory by helping other families going through the same nightmare we experienced.
That's why I created the Going Gold collection.
About the Isaiah 41:10 Foundation
The Isaiah 41:10 Foundation is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing courage to children battling pediatric cancer. The foundation was created in memory of Samuel Harmon, a young boy who fought leukemia with incredible faith and strength.
Sam's Story
When Sam was diagnosed with leukemia, he was given the Bible verse Isaiah 41:10:
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Sam memorized this verse and shared it with others. His deep love for God gave him the courage to face each day, and he wanted to make sure others heard about Him too. Even in his darkest moments, Sam's faith never wavered.
The Isaiah 41:10 Foundation was created to honor Sam's legacy and continue his mission of sharing hope, courage, and the love of Jesus Christ with children fighting cancer and their families.
What the Foundation Does
The Isaiah 41:10 Foundation provides:
- Books for sick children: Stories that Sam loved, told to him and his brother by their dad, are given to children with life threatening illnesses
